This time though my machine is completely broken, it just keeps endlessly cycling through the MSI splash screen to a quick "Attempting to restore older version" this is an approximation, the screen cycles too fast for me to get the exact message. This morning, Windows had once again updated to the Creators build, so I rolled it back.
Sure enough, the update yesterday broke some Firefox functionality again, so I rolled back to the previous Windows version again. This happened several months ago and I rolled it back, due to the fact that Firefox would not work, as well as a couple other issues. In the mean time Windows decided yesterday to update my machine to the Creators update.
